- We collect what we need to run your station and bill you — not more. We don’t sell personal information or show adverts.
- Listener statistics are counted without keeping listeners’ IP addresses.
- Card details go straight to Stripe. We never see your full card number.
- We use only the cookies needed to sign you in, so there’s no cookie banner.
- You can ask for a copy of your information, or for it to be corrected or deleted.

Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information Trini Web Solution collects when you run a station on Wrencast or listen to one, why we need it, and the choices you have.

The short version
1. Who is responsible
Trini Web Solution, United States, is responsible for personal information about the people who use Wrencast.
Questions about privacy? email admin@wrencast.com or use our contact page, choosing “Privacy” as the topic.
2. Station owners and their listeners
This policy covers two groups of people:
- Station owners and the people they invite, such as presenters. For their information, we decide how it’s used.
- Listeners to stations we host. Each station decides what it does with its own audience — its statistics, song requests, and anything it collects on its own website or social media — so for that information, the station is responsible and we handle it on the station’s behalf. If you’re a listener with a question about a particular station, it’s best to ask the station first.
If you run a station, you’re responsible for telling your listeners how you use their information, and for any information you collect yourself.
3. What we collect
If you run a station
- Account details: your name, email address and password (stored scrambled, so no one — including us — can read it), and your two-step sign-in settings if you turn them on.
- Billing details: your plan, subscription status and payment history. Stripe collects your card and billing details directly; we keep only a reference to your Stripe customer record and subscription.
- Your station: its name, description, artwork, music, recordings, playlists, schedule, podcasts, and the names and logins of presenters you add.
- Security records: sign-ins, important changes made to your account, and our web server logs, which include IP addresses and browser details.
- Messages: emails and contact form messages you send us, and our replies.
If you listen
- Listening statistics: when you tuned in and for how long, your approximate location (country, region and city), the app or browser and kind of device you used, and a scrambled identifier that lets us count you once per listening session. We work out the location when you connect and don’t keep your IP address with these statistics.
- Song requests: the song you asked for and when. To stop anyone flooding a station with requests, the streaming server notes the IP address a request came from.
- Favourites you save in our directory, which stay on your own device.
4. How we use it, and why we're allowed to
- To provide the service you signed up for — hosting and streaming your station, your dashboard, billing and support. This is necessary for our contract with you.
- To keep the service secure and working — preventing fraud and abuse, investigating problems and planning capacity. This is in our legitimate interests, and yours.
- To show stations how many people listen — the statistics in each station’s dashboard. This is in the legitimate interests of the station, and doesn’t identify individual listeners.
- To meet legal duties — such as keeping financial records, and responding to lawful requests.
- To tell you about the service — see the next section.
5. Emails we send
We send emails you need about your account: confirmations, receipts, failed payments, security alerts such as a changed password or two-step sign-in, a new app connected to your account, and important changes to the service or these policies. You can’t turn these off while you have an account, because they’re part of running it.
Some emails are optional, such as your station’s weekly listening report and alerts when your station goes off air. You can turn them off in your dashboard settings. We don’t send marketing emails without your permission.
7. Where it's stored
Our servers, and some of the companies above, may be in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where the law requires it we make sure your information stays protected when it’s transferred, for example with contracts approved for the purpose.
8. How long we keep it
- Account and station information: while you have an account. Ending a subscription doesn’t delete a station’s music; our terms explain when it might be removed, and you can ask us to delete it sooner.
- Web server logs: 14 days.
- Detailed listening history for a station: 60 days. Totals that don’t identify anyone may be kept for longer.
- Backups: 14 days, after which deleted information is gone from them too.
- Invoices and payment records: as long as tax law requires, usually six years.
- Contact form messages: as long as we need them to help you, and no more than two years.
9. Keeping it safe
We use encrypted connections throughout, scramble passwords so they can’t be read, encrypt the keys that connect to payment and streaming systems, offer two-step sign-in, and limit who on our team can reach personal information. No system is perfectly secure, so if something goes wrong that puts your information at risk, we’ll tell you and the authorities where the law requires.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- get a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- have it corrected if it’s wrong;
- have it deleted, or its use restricted;
- object to how we use it, where we rely on legitimate interests;
- receive information you gave us in a form you can take elsewhere.
To use any of these, email admin@wrencast.com or use our contact page. We may need to check who you are first, and we’ll reply within one month. Station owners can change most of their details, and delete music and presenters, from the dashboard at any time.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us so we can put it right. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
12. Children
You must be 18 or over to open an account. Our listening features don’t ask anyone for personal details, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has given us personal information, please get in touch and we’ll delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We’ll update this policy when what we do changes, and change the date at the top. If a change matters, we’ll email station owners before it applies. Our terms of service explain the rest of our agreement with you.
