Cancellation and refund policy

You can cancel your Wrencast plan whenever you like, from your dashboard, without talking to anyone. Here’s what happens when you do, and when we give refunds.

Last updated 14 September 2026

The short version

  • Cancel during your 14-day free trial and you won’t pay anything.
  • Cancel any time after that and your station stays on air until the end of the month you’ve paid for. You won’t be charged again.
  • We don’t refund part-used months, but we always refund our mistakes, such as a double charge.
  • Cancelling never deletes your music. Come back and your station picks up where it left off.

1. Free trials

New stations start with a 14-day free trial. We ask for a card when you start, but don’t charge it until the trial ends. Cancel before then and you pay nothing. Each person or organisation can have one free trial.

2. How billing works

Plans are billed monthly, in advance, on the same date each month starting when your trial ends. Your receipt shows the amount, the period it covers and your next payment date. You can see all of this under Billing in your dashboard.

3. How to cancel

  1. Sign in and open Billing in your station dashboard.
  2. Choose Manage payment next to the station’s plan.
  3. Choose to cancel your plan, and confirm.

Your Billing page then shows the date your plan ends. Until that date your station stays on air as normal, and you can change your mind and carry on without losing anything. If you can’t sign in, email admin@wrencast.com or use our contact page from the email address on your account and we’ll cancel it for you.

4. What happens when your plan ends

  • Your station goes off air, and its station page shows that it isn’t broadcasting.
  • Presenters can no longer go live.
  • Your music, playlists, schedule and settings are kept. Start a plan again and your station picks up where it left off. Our terms explain the only case in which we might remove music, and the notice we’d give.
  • If you’d like everything deleted now, just ask.

5. Refunds

Because you can cancel at any time and keep your station until the end of the month, we don’t refund the unused part of a month, or months you didn’t use. We will refund you:

  • if we charged you by mistake, charged you twice, or charged you after you cancelled;
  • if you were charged at the end of a free trial you’d already cancelled;
  • for any period in which your station was off air for more than 24 hours in total because of a fault on our side — in proportion to the time lost;
  • where the law gives you a right to a refund, as explained below.

To ask for a refund, email admin@wrencast.com or use our contact page within 60 days of the payment, choosing “Billing” as the topic. Refunds go back to the card you paid with, and usually arrive within 5 to 10 working days, depending on your bank.

6. Your legal right to cancel

If you’re a consumer in the UK or European Union, you have a legal right to cancel a new online subscription within 14 days of starting it, and get your money back.

Your station goes on air as soon as you sign up, so when you start a plan you ask us to begin providing it straight away. If you cancel within those 14 days and have already paid, we refund what you paid, minus an amount in proportion to the days your plan was running. If you’re still in your free trial, you haven’t paid anything, so there’s nothing to deduct.

To use this right, cancel from your dashboard and email admin@wrencast.com or use our contact page to say you’re using your right to cancel. You don’t have to give a reason.

If you’re buying for a business, this right doesn’t apply, but everything else on this page does.

7. Failed payments

If a payment doesn’t go through, we email you and Stripe tries again over the following days. Your station stays on air meanwhile. Update your card under Billing › Manage payment and the payment is taken straight away. If it still can’t be taken, your plan ends as described above — your music is kept, and you can start again any time.

8. Changing plans

To move to a bigger or smaller plan, use Billing › Manage payment where that option is shown, or email admin@wrencast.com or use our contact page. A change takes effect straight away: moving up, you pay the difference for the rest of the month; moving down, the unused part of your old plan is credited against your next payments. If your music is bigger than the smaller plan’s storage, nothing is deleted, but you won’t be able to upload more until you’re back under the limit.

9. Complimentary plans

Some stations have a plan given to them by us, with nothing to pay. Nothing renews or can be refunded, and we’ll give 30 days’ notice before one ends.

10. Questions

Anything about a payment you don’t recognise, or a refund? email admin@wrencast.com or use our contact page. We aim to reply within two working days.
